Our Privacy Policy

This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for Sustainable Conservation (www.suscon.org). Please read it carefully. If you have any questions, please contact [email protected].

Sustainable Conservation has built its reputation on respect for our supporters and partners. We protect their rights as a fundamental element of our mission. We do not collect any information without your knowledge and permission. The information you do provide through the website will never be sold or rented.

Ownership

Sustainable Conservation will never share, sell, or rent users’ personal information without their advance permission. Though Sustainable Conservation makes every effort to preserve donor privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our organization.

Registrations and Surveys

Our site may request information from users on a registration form or surveys. Participation in registrations and surveys is completely voluntary, so users have a choice whether or not to disclose the information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and email address), and demographic information (such as zip code, occupation). Registration and survey information is used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site, for contacting users based on their request, and for delivery of requested information to the user (such as an email newsletter). Requested information may also be used to provide a personalized experience on the site and to deliver personalized communications.

Online Donations

All donations made through Sustainable Conservation’s website are completed through an encrypted, secure connection. Donors’ credit card information is used only to process donations. Sustainable Conservation never stores credit card information after a one-time donation has been processed. Credit card information for recurring donations are encrypted and stored in our PCI compliant processing gateway, SafeSave. A donor’s record will just contain a “SafeSave Vault ID” that uniquely identifies that securely stored data so that future transactions can be processed through without the need to re-enter any data.

Please contact us to obtain, change, update or delete our records of your personal information, or to change your privacy options.
