Sustainable Conservation Privacy Policy

This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for Sustainable Conservation (www.suscon.org). Please read it carefully. If you have any questions, please contact info@suscon.org.

Sustainable Conservation has built its reputation on respect for our supporters and partners. We protect their rights as a fundamental element of our mission. We do not collect any information without your knowledge and permission. The information you do provide through the website will never be sold or rented.

Ownership

Sustainable Conservation is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will never share, sell, or rent users' personal information without their advance permission. We may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order, or legal process served on our Web site.

Registrations and Surveys

Our site may request information from users on a registration form or surveys. Participation in registrations and surveys is completely voluntary, so users have a choice whether or not to disclose the information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and email address), and demographic information (such as zip code, occupation). Registration and survey information is used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site, for contacting users based on their request, and for delivery of requested information to the user (such as an email newsletter). Requested information may also be used to provide a personalized experience on the site and to deliver personalized communications.

Online Donations

All donations made through Sustainable Conservation's website are completed through an encrypted, secure connection. Donors' credit card information is used only to process donations - and will be disclosed to third parties only as is necessary to complete the donation process. Sustainable Conservation never stores credit card information after a donation has been processed.

Groundspring.org (www.groundspring.org), through which donations to Sustainable Conservation are facilitated, collects only that information needed to properly process donations. This information may include: name, address, phone, e-mail address, credit card information, "acknowledgement" or "in memory of" information, and donation amount. Groundspring.org shares this information with Sustainable Conservation only - so Sustainable Conservation can properly record donations. All information is kept on secure servers for internal purposes only.

It is unlikely that Groundspring.org will need to contact you, but they reserve the right in the event that they need to verify your personal information. If you contact Groundspring by email or phone, they may ask you to verify your personal information to respond to your inquiry.

When selecting, "I want to make a recurring donation," you will be registering to make a credit card donation every month, 3 months, or year. After you complete this initial donation, future donations will be made automatically. You will receive an e-mail receipt from Groundspring.org for each recurring donation. As soon as you complete this initial donation, you will receive a separate e-mail containing a password and a link to the DonateNow system where you can review and change your donation options (amount, frequency, billing information) at any time. Of course, you will also be able to cancel your recurring donation at any point in the future. Donors can view and update their personal information on the DonateNow system by using their passwords and the link provided by Groundspring.org.
