Nation's First "Cow Power" Truck Debuts - KFSN-TV

screen shot of video on KFSN-TV

With Sustainable Conservation's help, pioneering dairy farmer Rob Hilarides (pronounced "hill-r-des") developed the nation's first "cow powered" semi-truck. Hilarides converted two commercial milk trucks that normally use diesel to run on biogas produced from cow manure on his Central Valley dairy. Doing so reduces his global warming emissions, air pollution (from diesel emissions) and dependence on fossil fuels. Biogas is the world's only carbon-negative vehicle fuel. Using it nationally would be like taking 16 million cars off the road.
